Bayern have made it clear to Robert Lewandowski’s entourage that they are willing to let him leave as long as they can secure a replacement. The German side have been working for some time to sign Sadio Mané, who has already made it clear he is leaving Liverpool, but have not yet been able to reach an agreement in principle with the Senegalese player....CONTINUE READING THE FULL ARTICLE>>>

And that could make the operation very difficult because Real Madrid and PSG have meddled in recent days and have greatly complicated his signing by Bayern, as explained by the newspaper ‘Bild’. Mané is an absolute priority for Bayern, who fear they are running out of alternatives because the market for strikers is very difficult this summer.

Both Lewandowski and Barça were confident that Bayern would make a definitive move for Mané after the Champions League final. Everything indicated that the Senegalese striker had already opted to play in the Bundesliga, but now all the alarm bells have gone off.

According to SPORT, Madrid, after the Mbappé fiasco, are scouring the market for a striker who can provide more goals and they believe that Mané is a market opportunity. There have already been contacts with his entourage and it seems that the player is willing to listen.

PSG have also made a move as Mbappé personally endorses his signing at the expense of Neymar, who seems to have fallen out of favour in Paris.

Bayern are sticking to their conservative policy and do not want to go to the market with the big money. They have never done so and are therefore reluctant to let Lewandowski leave because of the high prices being quoted for strikers. Mané can leave Liverpool for around 30 million euros, a figure they were willing to pay.

The emergence of PSG and Madrid could blow everything out of the water because, at the moment, there are few alternatives. Bayern have also looked at the Lukaku option but his fee is way above what they are willing to pay and Darwin Núñez (Benfica) is worth more than 100 million euros.

Madrid have taken the Mané issue in their stride. After winning the Champions League, Ancelotti has asked for the signing of a midfielder, who will be Tchouaméni (Monaco) and a left-back after the departure of Marcelo.

The big news is that he wants a striker who can help Benzema in attack. Rafael Leao (Milan) is an alternative, but they believe Mané could be much more attractive.

He is a much more experienced player, can play in several attacking positions and, on top of that, would complicate Lewandowski’s move to Barça. Mané had practically decided to go to Bayern, but from Germany they are beginning to see it as very complicated. Meanwhile, Lewandowski remains firm and would like to clarify his future in 15 days, although now everything could be delayed even more.
