The 21-year-old has been Chelsea’s top target for throughout the transfer window, and they had three bids rejected so far, and it seems their perseverance is going to reward them, as they are finally going to get their man.
Fofana arrived in English football in 2020 when joined Leicester from Saint-Etienne. And he made 43 appearances in all competitions, and could have easily made more if it was not for the serious injury he suffered last season, which kept him out for some time.
Chelsea have been desperate to find a replacements for Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen who departed to Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively upon the expiry of their contracts in June.
They have already signed Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly, and Fofana will definitely complete their defence department.
