However, a Sportbible report has revealed a looming threat to the registration of Raphael Dias Belloli (Raphinha) and Robert Lewandowski, owing to Frenkie de Jong’s transfer saga.
FC Barcelona, with ease, has confirmed the signing of Robert Lewandowski from FC Bayern Munich, Andreas Christensen from Chelsea FC, Raphael Dias Belloli (Raphinha) from Leeds United, Franck Kessie from AC Milan, convinced Ousmane Dembele to pen down a new contract, and reportedly, has defeated Chelsea FC in the race for Jules Koundé from Sevilla.
However, this fairytale success in the transfer market is about to head towards a bumpy route, as the Catalan giant, FC Barcelona, may not be able to register some of these newbies in the club ahead of the 2022/2023 season unless some old players are ‘shown’ the exit door with Frenkie de Jong at the topmost in the list.
Confirming this, Sportbible, via its official Twitter handle, reportedly said, “the registration of Raphael Dias Belloli (Raphinha) and Robert Lewandowski is not ‘guaranteed’ at Barcelona. If Frenkie de Jong refuses to leave or take a pay-cut, Barça will have a huge problem.”
While he has refused to be put on the line to guarantee the registration of the club’s new signings, FC Barcelona, according to multiple reports, has been exerting pressure on the twenty-five (25) Dutchman, Frenkie de Jong, to either dance to their tune by taking a significant pay-cut on his wage or be willing to be sold out this summer, irrespective of the years left in his contract with FC Barcelona.
