The Brazilian has attracted lots of top clubs in Europe this summer, Chelsea and Manchester United are keen on signing the Brazilian ace according to teamtalk.

Chelsea could sign him as an alternative for Raphinha who left Leeds United for Barcelona this summer.

According to GOAL, Manchester United have offered €60 million (£51m/$61m) to Ajax for star winger Antony, but the Dutch side are holding out for a fee of €80m (£68m/$81m).

Tottenham are said to be keen on signing the Brazilian ace but it’s not a priority for Antonio Conte’s side this summer as they have already acquired Richarlison.

Dean Jones said: “I think there is something in the rumour about Chelsea sniffing around Antony. They know he is looking for a move, so they might look to get involved.

“It’s slightly similar to the [Cristiano] Ronaldo situation. Basically, they need an elite attacker and there are not many that are actually looking for transfers.”

Thomas Tichel could be looking for more firepower in his squad this summer as Chelsea has already signed Raheem Sterling from Manchester City and they could be looking to add the Brazilian ace to squad.

Thomas Tuchel said: “I would not rule it out [signing another striker] but right now it is not the priority,” the German recently told Sky Sports. “The priority right now is defence, it’s not a secret. From there we need to see what’s possible.”

Antony, however, who scored just eight goals in 23 Eredivisie appearances last season, probably does not represent an upgrade on most of the options Chelsea already have out wide. Therefore, it is a transfer that does not look worth pursuing, especially if it is going to cost £80m to complete.
