Under the management of Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea is finally showing signs of improvement on the field. However, it remains to be seen if it’s too little, too late for Pochettino, as the true outcome will only be evident at the end of the current season.
Currently, the team is in 10th position and still 13 points away from securing a Champions League spot. Achieving at least that much was likely the minimum target for the season, so anything less could be considered a failure on Pochettino’s part.
However, it’s important to acknowledge that Pochettino has faced challenges due to Boehly’s interference. The club needs to realize that if managers are constantly changed without stability, Chelsea will continue to take one step forward and two steps back.
This pattern has been evident with the playing staff ever since the new ownership came in, resulting in a high turnover of players in a short period.
Recently, there have been rumors linking Chelsea to another world-class player, Alphonso Davies. However, according to Fabrizio Romano, a reliable source, there is no concrete or new information regarding this speculation.
Romano states, “I haven’t heard anything about Alphonso Davies joining Chelsea. There’s no solid or recent information about it. Bayern will continue trying to extend his contract until May/June, and if that’s not possible, he could be made available in the summer transfer market.”
