However, the Los Blancos are set to lose their loyal player tomorrow, after a transfer Journalist (Fabrizio Romano) claims that a 34-year-old South American player will be leaving Santiago Bernabeu.
Fabrizio Romano posted on his Twitter account that: “Real Madrid confirm 34-year-old Marcelo is leaving the club on a free transfer with farewell tomorrow at Bernabeu.”
The 34-year-old is a loyal player to the football club, having spent fifteen (15) years at Santiago Bernabeu. He joined Real Madrid from Fluminense in 2017 for a transfer fee of €6.50million.
During his 15-year spell at Real Madrid, he won 5 UCL titles, 4 FIFA Club World Cups, 6 Spanish league titles, 3 UEFA Super Cups, 2 Spanish Cups, and 5 Spanish Super Cups.
Moreover, Marcelo became Real Madrid’s captain last year, and he led his club to UCL and La Liga’s victory.
