Cristiano Ronaldo opened Portugal’s goal campaign from the penalty spot in the 65th minute of the second half after a terrible first half show to become the first Player to score in 5 consecutive World Cup Tournament.
The game was levelled with another goal from Ghana’s Ayew to make it 1-1 draw in the second game of the group. However, Felix Sequeira put Portugal in the lead 5 minutes later to make it 2-1.
Portugal proceeded with their 3rd goal of the tournament to make the scoreline through Leao’s effort in the 80th minute.
Just when the game was about to end, Bukari powered home another strike to give the game a befitting scoreline as Ghana score their Qatar 2022 second goal. It ended 3-2 in Ronaldo’s Portugal favour.
Earlier in the Group Game, Uruguay were held to a Goalless draw by the cunning but intelligent Korea side. Even though the Uruguayans controlled the game in some Cases, the Asians were still firm to make it a shared point.
Portugal lead the Group H table with 3 points following their victory over Ghana in their Qatar 2022 opener. South Korea and Uruguay already settled for 1 point each as the wait patiently for their next games.
Another African Team, Ghana have been left with nothing but will have another chance in their next game.
Portugal will have their first real test in their second game against Luis Suarez’s Uruguay while Ghana will be looking for their first win of Qatar 2022 when they face South Korea.
