Christian Pulisic got an assist in United States Men’s National team’s World Cup opener against Wales. He delivered a Man of the Match performance against Favorite England in USA second game while his lone goal and first ever world cup goal against Iran, on Tuesday, was more than enough to send the United States Men’s National team to the Round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup.
The Performance of the American Winger in Qatar has been a great contrast to what he was doing at Chelsea before the FIFA World Cup.
Chelsea has just two transfer windows before Christian Pulisic will be available as a free agent, and athletic UK has it that Todd Boehly might sell Christian Pulisic for £35million so that the West London club can get back some of the £58million they paid to Borussia Dortmund to sign him in 2019.
The thing is, Christian Pulisic has never been a bad Player at Chelsea, he has just been unlucky with the timing of his injury. Whenever he’s in a great form, he picks up an Injury and when he comes back, he returns to fighting for a spot in the starting lineup and get dropped to the bench when he doesn’t perform in the little playing time he gets.
This season, Christian Pulisic hasn’t struggled with injury but he’s struggling for playing time. Under two different Managers at Chelsea this season, Christian Pulisic is below Mason Mount, Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz in the pecking order at Chelsea, with Raheem Sterling taking most of his playing time because he’s a left Winger.
The disappointing part is that the Players that are ahead of him, especially Raheem Sterling, have been awful. Raheem Sterling in particular has become untouchable at Chelsea despite the fact that he’s below average.
Christian Pulisic would have shine brightly if he gets the same playing time that Raheem Sterling has gotten this season. He has played 3 Games at the World Cup and he’s literally carrying the United States at the World Cup.
