According to reports, the error in the first draw was made after Real Madrid had been drawn to play against Benfica in the round of 16. Real Madrid was supposed to be excluded from the second draw because there was no error in the first one.

Needless to say, Benfica is an easier opponent than Paris Saint-Germain, who have Neymar Jr, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Sergio Ramos. Real Madrid should charge UEFA for the re-draw because the first draw to play against Benfica was flawless.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid currently leads the La Liga Santander table by eight points over second-place Sevilla, and the Los Blancos are heavy favorites to win the title.
