Hugo Ekitike of Reims is close to joining Paris Saint-Germain; Newcastle came close to signing the striker both in this and the January transfer window, but finalizing a deal proved difficult.

Newcastle came close to signing him in both the current and January transfer windows, but finalizing a deal proved difficult.
The move could affect Gianluca Scamacca’s future at PSG, as the striker has been linked with a move to West Ham. West Ham have made a €40 million bid for Sassuolo striker Scamacca, according to Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali.
PSG has also made an offer of €35 million plus add-ons. West Ham is awaiting a response from the Italian club, which is thought to be worth €50 million.
Carnevali claims that they are under no obligation to sell and that no agreement has been reached with any club.
