Hugo Ekitike of Reims is close to joining Paris Saint-Germain; Newcastle came close to signing the striker both in this and the January transfer window, but finalizing a deal proved difficult.

The agreement, which includes a €35 million fee plus add-ons, is conditional on Ekitike passing a medical and agreeing to personal terms.

Newcastle came close to signing him in both the current and January transfer windows, but finalizing a deal proved difficult.

The move could affect Gianluca Scamacca’s future at PSG, as the striker has been linked with a move to West Ham. West Ham have made a €40 million bid for Sassuolo striker Scamacca, according to Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali.
