The President signed it on the morning of Thursday, December 31, 2021, at the end of the year.

President Buhari’s signing follows the approval of the budget and reforms made by the Senate and House of Representatives.

Witnesses to the signing included Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.

Signing the bill means that the bill is legal and the billing will be spent in the new year.

Parliament approves 2022 Budget, adding N700bn

You will recall that the House of Representatives on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, and the Senate on Wednesday approved the draft 2022 budget presented to her by President Muhammadu Buhari in October.

Instead of the N16.39tr proposed by Buhari, the legislators increased by more than 700 billion to N17.126 trillion.

Channel TV reports that the council has added N400bn to ministries such as INEC, the Legislature, and the Ministry of Relief, etc.

Congress also increased the price of crude oil from $ 57 / barrel to $ 62 / barrel.

Lawmakers also said the EFCC and NFIU should use 10% of their proceeds to strengthen the fight against corruption.
