Over the cause of this week alone, several photos and videos online have confirmed the increasing rate of criminal activities perpetrated by bandits on Abuja-Kaduna road. Many Nigerians are now afraid of getting kidnapped or attacked if they travel through this popular road. However, things might change anytime soon because the Federal government has finally given a new update on this pressing insecurity issue. Fresh reports claim that President Buhari has ordered intensified surveillance and increased patrol on the Abuja-Kaduna road. This order is expected to take effect any moment from.

President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly ordered intensified security patrol on the Abuja-Kaduna expressway

Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the current Minister of Interior recently gave this update while speaking to newsmen at the Presidential Villa on Thursday, 25th of November 2021. The minister said that several security agencies and the Nigerian police have now been mobilized for intensified surveillance and patrol of the Abuja-Kaduna road.

Rauf Aregbesola also stressed that the Federal government did not limit her concern to this popular road alone but also to all other locations facing insecurity issues in Nigeria. Read the specific words used by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola;

“Yes, Abuja-Kaduna belt was discussed specifically, but we appreciate the fact that we are in the season of festivity. So, all agencies are committed to providing security for Nigeria and the maintenance of law and order.
