The Blues took the lead through one of their on-loan Atletico Madrid striker, Joao Felix, who scored his first Premier League goal for the team.
But the hosts equalized thanks to Chelsea old boy Emerson Palmieri, as Graham Potter’s expensively-assembled side were unable to find a winner to end their winless streak.
Elsewhere, Ivan Toney scored a fitting equalizer as Brentford left Arsenal with a draw that could smack their English Premier League title race wide open.
Leandro Trossard’s first goal for the Gunners had earlier given them the lead in a game where they struggled for large periods, with Ivan Toney nodding in a leveler to earn the Bees a 1-1 draw and extend their unbeaten Premier League run to 10 matches.
The Gunners had lost at struggling Everton last weekend and could only follow that up with a stake of the spoils, leaving them six points clear of Manchester City at the top of the league table.
