West Ham and Chelsea were tied at 1-1 today. Joao Felix gave the visitors the lead with a close-range volley past Fabianski, despite Chelsea having goals disallowed on either side of it. After the Portuguese striker hit the post and followed in, but began moving too early, the goal was disallowed due to a close call.

Then Emerson scored his first Premier League goal from a tight angle to restore parity for West Ham. Soucek thought he had won the match late on when he deflected Rice’s saved attempt, but it was determined that the Hammers captain was offside.

Arsenal 1-1 Brentford

Brentford came the closest to scoring throughout the first half, despite Arsenal’s aggressive play for the most part. After a superb cross from Saka in the second half, Trossard scored his first goal for the squad in the 66th minute to give Arteta’s team the lead.

The advantage was fleeting, however, as eight minutes later, Toney quickly and easily tied the game with a header after Arsenal failed to clear their lines. Brentford are in 8th place after the draw, while Arsenal go six points clear.
