Graham Potter switched to Back-three defense on Saturday as Kalidou Koulibaly, Benoit Badiashile and Wesley Fofana led the attack of the West London club.

The West London club still struggled to find breakthrough in the game as it was a Defender that scored the only goal of the encounter which handed Chelsea their win but, the trio of Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile and Kalidou Koulibaly were collectively and individually impressive on Saturday.

According to Football London, Graham Potter admitted that the Back-three defense was great for Chelsea on Saturday. He said: “I think playing a back three made Chelsea look more assured against Leeds.

It hasn’t been as straightforward as it sounds because we have had people dropping off regularly really, which has made it hard to have that consistency.”

The Former Brighton and Hove Albion Manager spoke about how the defense tweak saved his team. He also complained about the unavailability of Players due to injury as it has prevented the team from maintaining consistency.

Graham Potter is right about the injury as Thiago Silva won’t be available for game against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday. Benoit Badiashile, who was part of the defense setup against Leeds United on Saturday, won’t also feature against Borussia Dortmund because he wasn’t included in the UCL squad.

However, Chelsea can still use 3 Defenders at the back on Tuesday. Kalidou Koulibaly and Wesley Fofana will obviously both start while Marc Cucurella will start in the Left Centre-back.

Marc Cucurella is a Defensive-minded Player and he should be able to operate in the Defense area against Dortmund. Ben Chilwell will start in the Left Wing-back and there’s Lewis Hall in the UCL squad to cover for the duo in case one of them needs to be taken off.
