The Commissioner of Police Jigawa state, AT Abdullahi, presented the cheques to twenty-two (22) Next of Kin of Police officers who died while in active service on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, at the Police State Headquarters, Dutse.

The CP, while presenting the cheques, appreciated the effort of the Inspector-General of Police for welfare and urged the beneficiaries to make efficient and judicious use of the money for their betterment.

According to him, “These officers were not just colleagues; they were brothers and sisters in blue, standing shoulder-to-shoulder in the face of danger, safeguarding our communities with firm resolve.

They ran towards the flames when others ran away. They faced down threats to protect the vulnerable. They gave their lives in the noble pursuit of keeping us safe.”

“To the families of the late officers, words cannot express the depth of your loss. Your loved ones were not simply police officers; they were sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, husbands and wives. They were the light of your lives, and their absence leaves a void that can never be truly filled.
