Lyon, who had been terrorising Bayelsa state, was nabbed after the police tracked him to Abuja.
He is well known in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state capital, for his flamboyant lifestyle.
According to a source, the kidnapper was apprehended after an unsuccessful operation.
Lyon, in a video clip, admitted that he belongs to a kidnap gang, but claimed that he had only abducted two people prior his arrest.
The kidnapper, while pleading for mercy, said that his wife had just put to bed.
