The 21-year-old midfielder showed his brilliance once again, proving to be the standout performer for the Blues this season.
Palmer’s impact was immediate, as he provided an assist just six minutes into the game, setting up Nicolas Jackson for a clinical finish.
Alexander Isak temporarily halted Chelsea’s momentum with a well-executed goal just before halftime, leveling the score for Newcastle.
However, Palmer seized control of the match in the second half, restoring Chelsea’s lead with a superb strike from outside the box.
His goal, reminiscent of his earlier assist, showed his composure and skill in front of goal, marking his fifth goal-and-assist combination in a Premier League game this season, the highest in the league.
