Kai Havertz’s opening goal put Chelsea on the right track towards the Carabao Cup final.
Chelsea defeated Spurs 2-0, but Havertz could only play 45 minutes. The German had to be replaced because of a twisted finger.
Havertz was fine till he scored for Chelsea in the 5th minute of the game. After his shot deflected of Davinson Sanchez, the German forward was bundled upon inside the box and he had to receive treatment even after his goal.
Havertz’s finger was wrapped in bandages, but the former Leverkusen man could only manage to finish the first half as he was replaced at half time by compatroit Timo Werner.
It is unlikely that Havertz’s twisted finger will rule him out for long, but the German shared photos on social media and the injury did not look good.
