“It’s pains me when I think of the type of man my daughter brought home, what I have passed through because of him is too heavy to pour out”, she lamented
Mama Madu confessed that she and Osinachi had known no peace since peter married her daughter.
According to her, the first time she saw or visited her daughter after her marriage was 8 years later. When she gave birth, her husband couldn’t even inform her, she heard the rumour from people.
“My daughter never told me what she was facing, I heard it from people close to me”, she added. She also added that a lady who lived with her begged her to do whatsoever she could to help save her daughter.
Because of this, her sister was forced to take her away from her husband’s house to their parents place since peter had threatened that if she doesn’t go home alive, she will go home in death. She spent one year and three months with her family before peter came and took her back to their matrimonial home.
I had asked her to get a divorce and marry another husband but she refused and said to me “mama, God said what he has joined together, let no man put asunder”, with this she went back to her husband who started maltreating her again even more than before.
