Since the 62 year old Portuguese had confessed to having the best of players to work with in the Super Eagles team, he should not have any excuse for failure. He should be able to guide the Super Eagles to the 2026 world cup.
Many would be wondering if the former Venezuelan national team coach is the ideal man for the Super Eagles job since he made this confession. His experience as a coach makes him the right manager to take the team to the world cup.
Apart from being the assistant manager with Real Madrid in 2014, Peseiro was, at different stages of his coaching career the manager of high profile teams such as FC Porto, Sporting CP, SC Braga, and many other clubs.
Having now realised that he has the most talented players he ever worked with in the Super Eagles, there shouldn’t be any margin for errors or failure going forward.
