During a recent conversation with The SUN, Professor Sagay expressed disapproval of the specific gubernatorial elections in Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi states, highlighting widespread violence, instances of vote-buying, and electoral irregularities.
He voiced disappointment over the discouraging trend of people predicting election outcomes on forms prior to voting, which undermines the substantial efforts made through initiatives such as the Electoral Act and the BVAS.
He mentioned that the increasing desperation among Nigerian politicians to gain power at any cost reflects a heightened aspect of human nature.
