In the post the club made on their official Twitter handle, they also congratulated Sadio Mane for emerging the winner of the AFCON competition. They called him one of the greatest African player and also referred to him as a king.
The post read, “Give a warm welcome to one of the greatest African players ever to grace the pitch, as Senegal’s AFCON winning speed king arrives to the Bundesliga for 2022/23.” See the post below.
People reacted to the post by knocking Liverpool FC and the club’s head coach Jurgen Klopp for not recognizing Sadio Mane’s greatness when he was still playing for the English club. According to some football fans, they are happy that Sadio Mane decided to move to a club where he is celebrated.
Sadio Mane was amongst the lowest earners at Liverpool, even though he arguably made the greatest contribution to their success during the Jurgen Klopp era. But the way he was treated disgusted many football fans. See the reactions of some people below, as they knocked Liverpool FC and Klopp.
