Leadership reported that, Addressing a press conference in Abuja, members of the party executive, led by its secretary, Rt. Hon. George Daika and publicity secretary, Chief Dayo Akande, said they have rejected the result as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

They said that every action will be taken to recover the state’s mandate from the people, within the bounds of the law.

The Kogi State governorship election, according to party secretary Daika, made the entire electoral process illegal, unlawful, and illegitimate.

He added that the party had disclosed plans to distribute BVAS that were already preloaded to some parts of the state and had expressed multiple concerns over attempts to rig the governor’s race.

He continued by saying that they also made suggestions that the Kogi State administration, led by the APC, had given people NYSC and police uniforms so they could carry out their nefarious intentions to rig the election.

Similarly, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) tainted the entire process, according to the Social Democratic Party (SDP), which has rejected the results of the November 11, 2023, gubernatorial election.

The SDP claims that results sheets were distributed to non-election officers, and that in order for them to appear in court, their attorneys had requested the certified true copy (CTC).

SDP claims to have won all nine local governments; nevertheless, some agents created results sheets from numerous registrations, which they then converted into votes, even though no such votes were cast.
