Crying
Usually, most babies react to pain by crying for a long period of time. At this time, mothers can touch different parts of their body to know when the baby will increase his voice. This helps to know the part of the body that hurts.
Facial expressions
A baby in pain will have a non smiling wrinkled forehead. This is a sign that all is not well. Although, such babies might not cry but a look at their face shows that something is definitely wrong.
Inability to sleep
A baby in pain might sometimes find it difficult to sleep. If he is lucky to sleep, it might not be as long as usual. This is a sign that something is wrong and it deserves proper attention.
Inability to eat or suckle on his mother’s breast
As we all know, breast milk is the major food for babies. Whenever they have access to it, it seems as if everything suddenly becomes calm. However, there are times babies will refuse to suckle on mother’s breast, this is another sign that your baby might be in pain.
These signs above shows that your baby feels pain but can not talk.
