Also, the newly elected officials of the PDP at national level visited Orji Uzo. It’s believed that their visit is connected to the 2023 presidential election, even though their meeting was not made public. The former secretary of the FG’s visit is another reason to think that Orji Uzo is becoming popular on a daily basis. Anyim’s visit suggests that he either needs counsel from the Abia-born politician, or that he wants to identify with Orji’s vision of becoming the next president of Nigeria. A few months ago, the former military president, Babangida, declared his support for Orji’s presidential ambitions. He wants Nigerians to consider the vibrant politician to take over power from Buhari, saying that Kalu is capable of reuniting Nigeria and making it prosperous.
With all these, it’s obvious that Orji is a game changer and a politician to watch in the 2023 general elections. It is on record that Orji Uzo was one of those who supported the emergence of President Obasanjo. He was quoted as having contributed a whopping five hundred million naira to the Ogun state-born politician (PDP) in the run-up to the 1999 general elections. It’s obvious that people like Obasanjo would likely support the Abia-born politician to accomplish his long-time vision of becoming the president of the most populous black nation in the world. Many are suggesting that Orji will likely have the support of the north since he was in a good relationship with them and he has many investments, properties, and business empires in the north. What else would he need to lead Nigeria? Even President Buhari has nothing against the chief whip of the Senate. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and watch events as they progress.
