Legendary players like Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Dani Alves, and Roberto Carlos, just to mention a few have all played for either Barçelona or Real Madrid.
Real Madrid however, have been slammed on so many occasions for ignoring their superstars who have made lots of history with them. Real Madrid’s legendary players like Iker Casillas and even Cristiano Ronaldo have been said to have left the club without proper goodbyes.
The Real Madrid board was slammed for not caring about the players who have made history with the club. However, Dani Alves has recently proved that Barçelona are no different.
While Speaking to media outlet The Guardian, Dani Alves -who returned to Barcelona after so many years away from the club – hit out at Barçelona, insisting that they don’t care about the players who make history at the club, and they have to change their mindset if they are to compete at the highest level for silverware once again.
The former Barçelona star was informed by the club at the end of the season that he won’t be needed at the club anymore, something that wasn’t taken well by Dani Alves. The Barçelona star has openly criticized the club for not caring much about their Superstars. Something other superstars at Real Madrid have done too.
‘I didn’t leave sad. I left happy to have returned to Barcelona. I dreamed for five years wanting to live this second moment,’ he said. ; The only thing I didn’t like was how my departure was handled.
Since I arrived, I made it very clear that I wasn’t anymore a 20-year-old guy and that I wanted things to be done head-on, without hiding things. But this club has sinned in recent years.

A lot was said about Real Madrid when Iker Casillas made similar comments about Real Madrid, which led to a lot of criticism. Fans also went on to criticize Real Madrid for the way they handled Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit. Barçelona fans also claimed the club were better at sending off or treating their own legends right compared to Real Madrid.
However, that has been proven wrong by Dani Alves, as Real Madrid and Barçelona are not different in the way they treat their legendary players.
