In regard to this, I will be presenting One south west State with high voting strength the APC may lose for the first time to PDP in 2023, because of political interest.
Lagos State is one of the south west States with high Voting Strength according to the Independent National Electoral Commission, The state is govern by governor Sanwo-Olu and also dominated by the All progressive Congress.
Currently, The ruling All Progressives Congress in Lagos State is having a political conflict in the party for the first time, because of the political plot of the leader of the Lagos4Lagos movement Olajide Adediran to end the Godfatherism of the former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu.
The plot by the Lagos4Lagos movement Leader has led to an Internal crisis in the APC which generated to the APC holding a parallel congress in Lagos State that produce two parallel chairmen in the State.
Remember that according to report from vanguard newspaper, It’s reveal that while the camp loyal to the Leader of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, Jandor held their Congress in Lagos State, The other camp which is led by Hon. Tunde Balogun maintained their loyalty to the national Leader of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Tinubu.
With this Internal crisis, It might cause the APC to lose the state for the first time to the PDP in the next Governorhip election in Lagos State, especially if the PDP Leaders decide to work as a team ahead of the 2023 Lagos State governorship election.
With this, It will be advisable for the national caretaker chairman of the APC to invite the Leader of the Lagos4Lagos movement, Jandor and Tinubu in order to settle their difference, and also work together as a team to avoid losing the state to PDP in the next Lagos State governorship election.
