It was a fairly slow first half, though both De Gea and Areola were forced into making good saves to keep it 0-0 heading into half-time. West Ham started quickly after the break, and Benrahma rifled them ahead by brilliantly picking out the top corner.
That goal seemed to wake United up, and Casemiro had a header ruled out for offside before Aguerd’s own goal got them level.
In the 90th minute, Garnacho curled in a lovely second to finish the comeback, and Fred sealed it in the dying minutes after Weghorst pounced on Aguerd’s mistake.
United are through to the FA Cup quarter-final and put their name into the hat for the draw later on today. They have another big game at the weekend as they travel to rivals, Liverpool. West Ham are out of the FA Cup in the fifth round once again.
Their attention now turns back to the league as they face Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.
After the completion of the match, Argentina and Manchester United winger, Alejandro Garnacho was named the man of the match for his electrifying performance against West Ham.
His runs and movements caused the Hammers backline alot of problems, ran his markers ragged on several occasions and netted a well deserved goal to help the Red Devils progress to the next round of the competition.
