According to the man, the money was mistakenly paid into his account by a company he was working for.
He said what he did was a normal thing to do but our society has become so rotten that such honest act is frowned on.
Olasupo’s act caught the attention of the Gani Fawehinmi Integrity Awards and he was given a plaque on Friday, December 10.
The honest Nigerian man appreciated everyone who voted for him. He stated that getting such an award is a reminder that there are still young people in society who value integrity, transparency, and accountability.
A part of his post read:
“I dedicate this award to my parents-Mr and Mrs Olasupo for instilling that discipline to me since I was young and to every young Nigerian striving to make their lives better while maintaining moral decency. Moral decency has become difficult to achieve today but we must not stop doing what is right.”

Markt trader returned wallet after three months
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that a market trader showed off a good deed of returning a customer’s wallet and people praised her online.
In a Facebook post, a person identified as Awodiye Funke narrated how a certain Mama Funke lost her wallet three months ago. The wallets contained cash and other valuables.
