Liverpool made the second biggest profit in the history of football when they sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in the 2017/18 season. After purchasing the Brazilian star for just €13 million from Inter Milan five seasons earlier, the English Premier League side sold the Brazilian attacker to Barcelona in a deal worth €135 million. This meant that Liverpool earned a profit of €122 million from his sale.
