The last time both teams met Manchester City was the better team as they won the game by 5 goals to nil.

Newcastle United came out in search of an equalizer as they mounted pressure on City’s defense but could not get a real chance on goal. The Home team got an opportunity to pull one back in the 23rd minute but Ederson was up to the task.

Manchester City finally succumb to Newcastle’s pressure as M. Almiron got an equalizer in the 28th minute for his side.

Eleven minutes later Newcastle took the lead as C. Wilson scored a beautiful goal to help his team finish as winners in the first half.
