Mom uses charms, and I can’t bring myself to do it. None of us consume anything from the bar because of the spiritual implications involved. I’ve seen successful people go broke at Mom’s bar. She goes to Togo every 21 days, but I don’t know what she does there.
She has introduced me to a mortuary worker who gives her parts of dead people and explains how to buy them. She mixes the water used in food preparation with that used to clean corpses and then buries the parts around the bar.
I feel sorry for the customers because people come there and spend so much money. Some even have to leave their cars because they consume more than they can pay.
I don’t want to continue with her practices. I wish to use my qualifications to get a job because I studied abroad, but she said if I quit the business, it will have a bad effect on us.
