The accident occurred on the Kakamega-Nairobi Highway when an Easy Coach bus, headed for Nairobi, overturned, resulting in one death and several injuries.

During a press conference, Murkomen expressed how disturbed he was after the accident, revealing that he couldn’t sleep the entire night. He recalled a recent visit to NTSA where he appeared upset, emphasizing that the incident deeply affects him emotionally.

Being a parent with a child in high school, Murkomen empathized with the parents who lost their children in the accident. He stressed that the situation was not a matter to be taken lightly and urged people to consider the gravity of road accidents.

The tragic event occurred on April 1, when the Easy Coach bus carrying Chavakali Boys’ High School students crashed, resulting in one fatality and 10 severe injuries.
