The final which will take place at England’s national stadium Wembley will see one of the nation’s most decorated club square off against Pep Guardiola’s team that recently won the Premier League for the third consecutive time.

So ahead of the showpiece event, here’s how these two teams could line-up.

MANCHESTER UNITED.

In goal, David de Gea who’s played virtually every game this season for the Red Devils is expected to start against Man City.

With Lisandro Martinez still injured, Erik ten Hag could start Raphael Varane and Luke Shaw in central defence, with Malacia and Aaron Wan-Bissaka occupying the fullback spots.

Then in midfield, Casemiro, Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes and Fred could all start while Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho could be paired upfront to provide the needed goals.

MANCHESTER CITY.

With Pep Guardiola chasing the second Treble of his illustrious coaching career, he will probably field a strong starting lineup that will see Ederson take up his place between the sticks.

Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, John Stones and Akanji are all expected to start in defence while the midfield trio of Rodri, Kevin de Bruyne and Bernardo Silva could be a handful if they start against Man United.

Then in the forward position, the usual suspects Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish and Riyad Mahrez may be started together to form a fearsome attacking trident that can hurt United’s defence.
