The Spanish LaLiga side will be going into the Europa League showdown after their disappointing 2-2 against the Red Devils in the first leg of the encounter, and they will be bidding to avoid a defeat that could eliminate them from the campaign when both teams meet again on Thursday in the return leg.
Team News:
Barcelona have been handed a major blow ahead of the game against Manchester United, as Pedri and Gavi will not be available for selection in the game.
Pedri sustained a thigh injury in the game against Manchester United last week, and he is expected to be out of play for the next few weeks. While Gavi, on the other hand, will miss the game due to suspension, following the bookings he received in the previous games of the campaign.
Ousmane Dembele will also miss the Europa League playoff as the Frenchman is yet to fully recover from the injury he sustained a few months ago.
Barcelona’s possible starting lineup vs Manchester United:
Ter Stegen; Kounde, Araujo, Alonso, Alba; De Jong, Busquets, Kessie; Raphinha, Fati, Lewandowski.
Kickoff Time:
The UEFA Europa League contest is expected to commence at exactly 9 PM Nigerian time on Thursday in England.
