Aston Villa looked like the better side when they scored two goals without a response in the first half. McGinn scored the opener while Dendoncker doubled the lead.

In the second half, Alejandro Garnacho scored from Rashford’s assist to pull one back for Manchester United before scoring some minutes later to draw the game level. Rasmus Hojlund scored the winner for Manchester United in the 82nd minute.

This victory will be a huge relief to Erik ten Hag as his side is beginning to get better again.
