They had to bow out of the English Premier League after they were defeated 2-1 by Newcastle United while Leeds United won by the same scoreline against Brentford. The Clarets would be joining Watford and Norwich City in the Championship next season.
Ahead of the last matchday, some teams had ‘nothing’ to lose based on Champions League qualification, Europa League qualification, English Premier League title triumph, Europa Conference League qualification, and relegation survival, however, there was still something significant to fight for. This was the prize money for each team’s English Premier League finish.
As the season has drawn to a close and the dust has settled, we would be looking at the prize money each of the English Premier League teams would be receiving for their league finish:
