Chelsea looks to be stuck in the transfer market at the moment as no deals so far have been said to be done. Chelsea finished last season third on the Premier League table and Lukaku has returned to Inter Milan on a season loan after failing to perform to expectations while he was with the blues last season.
However, the mistake Chelsea is making in this transfer window which is costing them a lot is that the club is yet to appoint replacements for the roles of Technical Advisor (which Peter Cech was formerly occupying), Director, and Chairman (which were formerly occupied Marina Granovskaia and Bruce Buck).
It’s believed that Todd Boehly is the one acting as the chairman at the moment which will be difficult for him since he hasn’t worked as a chairman for any club before.
Boehly’s lack of experience could be the reason why Chelsea has been lagging in the ongoing transfer window. In the era of Abrahamovich, the blues would have made some exciting signings at this stage.
There are some reports that Chelsea will soon announce new persons that will take charge of the roles of Technical Advisor, Director, and Chairman.
But the blues are still hoping that Raphinha’s deal would be completed despite Barcelona’s heavy involvement lately. Chelsea is also said to be making progress in signing Raheem Sterling, Nathan Ake from Manchester City, and De Ligt from Juventus.
