The Spanish centre-back was one of Mikel Arteta’s first additions as the Gunners coach, but his time at the club has not gone to plan. After some promising performances in his first few starts in an Arsenal shirt, Mari has endured a tough time with injuries and a loss of form.

Pablo never established himself as a starter under Mikel Arteta but sometimes proved his value by filling in for first-choice centre-backs. With the Gunners facing problems with personnel earlier in the campaign, the Spaniard started the first two matches of the PL season but has not turned out for Arsenal since then.

Unsurprisingly, the Gunners agreed on a loan deal with Udinese for Mari, and in Italy, the defender has found a new lease on life. Pablo missed three games for the Serie A side and managed 15 games. Pablo has been a really good presence for the club.

As things stand, Udinese may not be able to afford the Gunners’ asking price, which has enabled others to look at Pablo. And the Rossoneri are said to be interested in a move for Mari and could explore the chance to sign him this summer.
