The Athletic report Sergio Reguilon has completed and passed his medical ahead of a loan move.
Reguilon is being signed as cover with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia out injured.
There will be a break clause in the loan which allows United to cancel it in January, if the left-back is no longer required.
Manchester United move
Manchester United will cover all of Sergio Reguilon’s wages during his time on loan at the club, The Athletic report.
But this is not a high sum. Reguilon is on a contract at Tottenham which is considered very cheap by Manchester United’s standards.
Capology reports Reguilon earns £53,000 per week at Spurs, which would make him one of United’s lowest paid senior players.
The alternate option was Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella, who was more costly in terms of an up front loan fee, where The Mirror report he earns £175,000 per week.
Reguilon second loan
This is the second time Sergio Reguilon has been loaned out by Tottenham. He spent the second half of last season with Atletico Madrid.
Reguilon was signed by Jose Mourinho, but he has not won over their subsequent managers and he is currently surplus to requirements.
United will want him registered in time to be in the squad to face Arsenal, which is why the medical has been fast-tracked….READFULL
