The medical word for this problem is breast asymmetry. When one breast (left) is greater in size, volume, location, and form than the other, it is called asymmetry. There are a number of scientific explanations for why this happens, which I’ll go over in this essay.
According to Healthline, below are a few of the reasons for breast asymmetry.
1. Traumatic experiences.
Breast asymmetry can develop over time as a result of a series of stressful situations. This has been shown by scientific research and studies.
Rape, accident, attempted murder, and other horrific events are examples of traumatic events that may result in this disease.
2. Genetics.
The look of a person’s breasts is also affected by genetics and hereditary factors. A woman’s breasts will almost certainly be asymmetrical or uneven if her mother or grandmother had them.
3. Hormonal changes.
Hormonal changes or imbalance is one of the most common causes of breast asymmetry. The shape and size of one breast may be affected if a person’s hormones or oestrogen levels begin to vary and become abnormal.
4. Puberty.
A person’s breast asymmetry usually occurs throughout puberty. It’s possible that one breast reacts to the increased oestrogen and growth better than the other. In most circumstances, a young adolescent can develop breast asymmetry as soon as puberty begins.
Conclusion.
Asymmetry in the breasts is a common occurrence, not a flaw. It may become more noticeable later in life, leading some individuals, especially women, to believe it is a sign of breast cancer.
But don’t worry, this is a perfectly normal ailment that affects one in every three women on the planet. Asymmetry in the breasts has also been clinically proved and tested to not be a symptom of cancer or other life-threatening disorders.
