Healthline lists several possible explanations for breast asymmetry.

1. Repeated stress may contribute to breast asymmetry. Countless studies and studies in the scientific community have demonstrated this. This condition may be triggered by exposure to a traumatic event, such as a rape, an accident, an attempted murder, or something even more heinous.

2. Genealogical and inherited factors can play a role in determining a woman’s breast size and shape. If a woman’s mother or grandmother has uneven breasts, such tendency is likely to be passed on to the child.

3. A hormonal imbalance, according to Healthline, is a significant factor in the development of breast asymmetry. Hormonal or estrogen imbalances can cause a woman’s breasts to sag or enlarge in one area.

4. Breast asymmetry is a common puberty occurrence for females. One breast may develop and respond to the additional estrogen more quickly than the other. It is common for a young adolescent to see asymmetrical breast development when puberty first begins.
