Manchester City as expected took control of the game from the kick-off and saw several goal-scoring chances which they failed to convert. Chelsea on the other hand came close to scoring on three occasions as Pulisic and Lewis Hall missed their chances.
After a goalless first half, Mahrez scored a brilliant free-kick to give Manchester City the lead while Julian Alvarez scored the second from a close range to seal the win for Manchester City.
However, Koulibaly had a terrible performance tonight as he was responsible for the first goal Chelsea conceded. The Senegal international failed to jump to prevent Mahrez’s free kick from scoring which is why he is trending after the game.
He also failed to track back properly and prevent Alvarez from scoring the second goal. Chalobah is another player who was not at his best tonight.
