Erling Haaland shattered yet another Premier League record to help Manchester City in seizing control of their Saturday afternoon matchup with Wolves.

The Norwegian, 22, who received the ball from Bernardo Silva, was given much too much time to sprint into the final third and score past Jose Sa from the edge of the box.

After Jack Grealish scored less than a minute into the game at Molineux and later was the victim of a straight-red challenge from Nathan Collins, his goal in the 16th minute doubled City’s lead.

Haaland’s goal extended his scorching start in England after his £51 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund this summer and became the first player in Premier League history to score in each of his first four away games.

The former Molde and Red Bull Salzburg star has already smashed multiple records in England’s top division, surpassing Micky Quinn and Sergio Aguero with nine goals in his first five games.

In a stern warning to the local rivals of the defending champions, City manager Pep Guardiola stated that Haaland’s game still has potential for improvement. The Spaniard praised his talismanic player, saying, “He’s a terrific striker, I’ve said it many times.”
