Just as expected, the Pep Guardiola-led team had a solid start to the game as they took the lead with just 7 minutes on the clock when Phil Foden’s left-footed strike defeated the Nottingham Forest goalkeeper to give his team their well-deserved lead. Seven minutes later, Erling Haaland doubled the advantage for the Citizens with a stunning header in the 14th minute.
