Morocco started the game well and opened the score in the first half as Youssef En-Nesyri scored a brilliant goal with a header. Portugal missed a chance to get back into the game as Bruno Fernandes hits the bar. In the second half, Portugal forward Ramos missed an opportunity to score the equalizer. Bruno Fernandes also sees his effort saved.
Ronaldo replaced Ruben Neves in the second half and failed to make a tangible difference to the game till the final whistle. It was a sad end for Portugal Meanwhile, Morocco made Africa proud by becoming the first African nation to reach the semifinals of the competition.
