Goalkeeper;
Manchester United has two world-class goalkeepers at their disposal after the departure of Dean Handerson and De Gea is sure to retain his place in the starting lineup while Heaton will be the backup goalkeeper for De Gea and can start less competitive games.
Centre backs
Erik Ten Hag has two centre backs in both the right and left centre back position
Lindelof and Varane will compete for the right centre-back position, Varane will likely start most games while Lindelof will be their backup for him.
Maguire and Bailly will start in the left centre back position.
