After a hectic summer, Manchester United fans are still eagerly awaiting a first look at two signings, and one in particular.
Arsenal are the visitors today and Antony could grace the Old Trafford turf for the first time this afternoon. The Brazilian arrived on deadline day for £85m to become the club’s second-most expensive signing ever.
Erik ten Hag revealed on Friday that his inclusion in the clash depended on how he fared in his two training sessions before today. Meanwhile, fellow summer recruit and countryman Casemiro could make his full debut.
The 30-year-old has come off from the bench during the last two outings but could finally get the nod from Ten Hag later today. The other deadline day signing, goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, will likely make the bench.
Patrice Evra ‘scared’ of Arsenal form
In an interview with Betfair, Evra explained:
This game is the beauty of the Premier League. This is a tough one to predict. I think United will have to play in a similar way like they did against Liverpool, in that survival mode, they may even have to get some luck.
In that game against Liverpool, Klopp’s side had many chances to win the game but let’s give credit to United. Now, they don’t want to lose any games, they are putting their lives on the line to prevent conceding goals.
Arsenal are in great form, they are winning ugly games and that’s what is scaring me. Against Fulham, it wasn’t a good game but they won. Let’s be clear, Arsenal fear Man United, there’s a massive history between the two.

Erik ten Hag has given his reasons for the signings he has made at United this summer.
Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, Antony and Martin Dubravka were all signed in the last transfer window in an attempt to strengthen the Premier League outfit.
After a shaky start, the Reds have settled with three wins in a row.

Casemiro has not been bought to offer tactical guidance in the dugout or play cheerleader. He is one of the best defensive midfielders around and it would be senseless to save him for Real Sociedad in the Europa League on Thursday when the Premier League leaders are at Old Trafford today.
It would be a surprise if Antony starts as he has not played in three weeks due to going on strike at Ajax to force through his €100million transfer.
Antony’s squad number for United confirmed
The club have announced that Antony will wear the number 21 shirt for the 2022/23 season.
The former Ajax man has worn the numbers 7, 11 and 39 during his career – but all of those were unavailable to the Brazilian.
The 22-year-old takes the 21 shirt after the recent departures of Edinson Cavani and Dan James left the number vacant.

United will be without Anthony Martial again for the visit of Arsenal on Sunday, leaving Erik ten Hag with another deicision who to play up top.
Casemiro could make his full debut for the Reds after coming off the bench in the last two matches.
Meanwhile, a decision is to be made on Antony, following his deadline day arrival. Ten Hag said he would be assessed over two training sessions before determining whether he will be ready.
