Kim, who is 26 years old, has been lauded as one of the best defenders in Serie A this season, and he has been a crucial player for Napoli. He has played 43 times in all competitions and helped his team keep 20 clean sheets, contributing four goals.
The towering centre-back, who stands at 6″3, is adept at defending one-on-one situations and is both powerful and fast. He is also comfortable using either foot to defend and has had an excellent campaign. Kim joined Napoli last summer for €18.5 million as a replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly.
Corriere dello Sport reports that Napoli are willing to consider offers of around €60 million (£53.3 million) for the player, who has two years left on his contract at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
The Red Devil’s interest in Kim is part of their continuing rebuild under Erik ten Hag. The club is expected to be active in the summer transfer window both in terms of new signings and outgoing players.
